Class Dates:
Classes start the Third weekend of March and September
RCI operates on a non-traditional term. We do not use the traditional calendar. The course is a 100-hour program, with 35 classroom hours offered one Saturday per month for four months. The Fourth weekend is both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday is Clinic day and Sunday is Review.
All class starts are dependent on enrollment sufficient to meet class size requirements. Weather may play a roll in actual class schedule.
Classes canceled due to weather will be made up as soon as possible.
RCI reserves the right to amend the calendar.
Enrollment Dates:
Students may enroll no later than ten days prior to the start of a new class.
Entrance Requirements:
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and possess a professional health care license. Ex: (but not limited to) Acupuncturist, Chiropractor, LPN, Massotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Physician, and RN or a minimum of 75 hours of Anatomy and Physilolgy study.
Absences, Tardiness, Unsatisfactory Work, Make-up Days:
Students are expected to be on time and attend all scheduled classes. Should one class day be missed, a make-up day will be scheduled prior to taking the exam. Should more than one class day be missed, the student will not be permitted to continue in the program. Students who perform unsatisfactorily will be given additional instruction in order to perform in a satisfactory manner.
Description of Program:
100-hour Certification Course in Hand and Foot Reflexology. 35 classroom hours, 40 documented sessions (each one hour long), 25 hours of home study from Study Guide and Video.
Classroom study includes hands-on technique application, relaxation techniques, and documentation.

Instructional Material:
RCI provides a Study Guide and Instructional Video, which are included in the tuition cost.
Course Description:
Technique 201. Basic Technique. (9 Hours) Students learn the thumb and finger walk (the basic reflexology technique) and
how to apply it to the feet.
Technique 202. Hand Reflexology. (2 Hours) Students learn how to apply the basic technique to the hands.
Relax 201. Relaxation Techniques. (8 Hours) Students learn 13 relaxation techniques applied to feet and hands.
Doc 201. Documentation. (2 Hours) Students learn how to document a reflexology session, allowing them to track a client’s progress.
CL 201. Clinic Day. (7 Hours) Students provide 20 Minute Reflexology sessions to walk-ins. Part of overall grade.
Review 201. Review Day. (7 Hours) Review entire study guide and technique application in preparation for the final exams.
Mkt. 101 Reflexology Marketing (4 Hours) Learn 23 aspects of marketing your Reflexology practice. Students receive information packet and study guide.
Standards for Satisfactory Progress:
100% attendance and satisfactory completion of both practical and written exams. Final grades are issued within one month after successfully passing both written and practical exams and completing all documented sessions. Certificates and transcripts will be sent at that time.
Grade average must be 75% or higher for Certificate.
Grade average computed as follows: 100%-95%=A; 94%-85%=B; 84%-75%=C; 74%-65%=D; 64% and below=F. Grades are determined by student’s participation, attitude, and attendance, completing a series of quizzes, passing written and practical exams.
Documentation is due no later than 60 days from the date of the final exams.
Graduation Requirements:
Attendance at all classes and successfully passing both the written and practical exams and completing extra credit assignment and all documented sessions.
Student Conduct and Grounds for Dismissal:
The following will result in disciplinary action, including suspension or dismissal from the course:
Physical abuse or harassment; Smoking; RCI is a smoke-free facility Vandalism; Consumption of alcohol or drugs. The following items will not be permitted in the classroom at any time:

Refund Policy: [Per State Administrative Rule 3332-1-10] “… An enrollment agreement or application may be canceled within five calendar days after the date of signing provided the school is notified of the cancellation in writing. The school shall promptly refund in full all tuition and fees paid pursuant to the enrollment agreement. Such refund shall be made no later than thirty days after cancellation.
(7) State refund policy for programs organized on a clock hour basis:
(1) A student who starts class and withdraws before the academic term is 12.5% completed will be obligated for 25% of the tuition and refundable fees plus the registration fee.
(2) A student who starts class and withdraws after the academic term is 12.5% completed but before the academic term is 25% completed will be obligated for 50% of the tuition and refundable fees plus the registration fee.
(3) A student who starts class and withdraws after the academic term is 25% complete but before the academic term is 37.5% completed will be obligated for 75% of the tuition and refundable fees plus the registration fee.
(4) A student who starts class and withdraws after the academic term is 37.5% completed but before the academic term is 50% will not be entitled to a refund of the tuition and fees
(G) In the case of student illness or accident, death in the family, or other circumstances beyond the control of the student, the student shall be entitled to special consideration and the school may settle the account for an amount which is less than that called for by the school's established policy.”
Credit for Previous Education or Training:
RCI does not accept transfer credits and does not extend credit for prior experience.

Scholarships:
Unfortunately, there are no scholarships available through RCI at this time.
Grievance Procedure:
Should the need arise, a student who has a grievance with the School should first discuss the problem with the School Director or Instructor.
